RESEARCH ASSISTANT (R06/21)RA1B Scale Point 6: £22,289 per annum (Pro rata)
Full Time and Fixed Term for 9 months from 1 September 2006 - 31 May 2007
Dr. Roger Giner-Sorolla, a member of the Centre for the Study of Group Processes at the University of Kent, is seeking a full-time researcher in Social or Experimental Psychology on his ESRC grant ‘Anticipated and actual affect in prejudice control.’You will help us plan three or more studies and be responsible for recruiting a total of 240 participants across them, running the studies in our psychology laboratory. You will be expected to read extensively in the area of research, prepare materials, enter data, conduct data analyses in SPSS and assist in writing up the results. Additionally, you will be expected to learn and use the Biopac equipment kit to take physiological measures from participants.You should have a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, although postgraduate degrees are strongly preferred, and a strong background in quantitative experimental methodology and analysis.
