[Appel à Communications]Numéro spécial de "group Dynamics"

Un appel à communications est lancé par la revue Group Dynamics pour un numéro spécial intitulé "Evolutionary Perspectives on Group Dynamics"

The APA journal Group Dynamics: Theory, Research and Practice will publish a special issue pertaining to group dynamics and evolutionary processes, edited by Mark Van Vugt, University of Kent, and Mark Schaller, University of British Columbia.

The editors believe that the scientific study of groups would be well served by a collection of papers showing (1) the diversity of evolutionary perspectives on group dynamics, (2) examples of research programs, (3) implications for group research and practice.

The issue will stress conceptual papers rather than straightforward empirical contributions ("we carried out an experiment...."), although there will be room for contributors to describe relevant research programs.

The editors would like to ensure that the special issue reflects the diversity of evolutionary perspectives on groups. To ensure a broad sampling of the domain, and because the number of
articles that can be published in the issue is limited, any author considering submitting a paper to the special issue should send the editors a 200 word summary of the planned contribution, prior to developing a paper for submission.

Those abstracts identified by the editors will be invited to develop complete manuscripts, but please note that such notification does not insure publication in the issue. The editors will use traditional peer review procedures to make a final decision on acceptance of the paper.

Abstracts are due by Monday October 16, 2006, and complete manuscripts must be submitted by Monday January 22, 2007. There will be a strict limit of 5.000 words per manuscript (excluding references) due to journal space restrictions.

Please send your abstracts to Mark van Vugt, mvv"AT"kent.ac.uk
