The School of Psychology offers the following positions in Social and/or
Organisational Psychology: 2 Lecturer/Senior Lecturers, 3 Post-Doctoral
Fellows, and 3 Research Assistant positions.

The Social, Economic and Organizational Research Group seeks to expand and
strengthen its current research profile. Current members of the group
conduct high-quality research with a strong international focus. Much of
this is funded by grants from main funding bodies (in particular the ESRC),
from Government and industry. The group boasts excellent research
facilities and labs (some of which were recently refurbished). We are keen
to appoint new members of staff who will complement existing strengths or
who will introduce new ones to what is a vibrant and flourishing research
group.

Applications are invited for:

2 Lecturer/Senior Lecturer positions (continuing)
Two appointments, ranging from Lecturer to Senior Lecturer (Associate
Professor) can be made in any area(s) within Social, Economic and
Organizational psychology.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in social psychology, and have a
track record of conference presentations and publication. Applicants are
expected to have a portfolio of independent research and teaching
experience commensurate with the level of the application. Salary starting
from £28,019 p.a. (Lecturer) or £34,448 p.a. (Senior Lecturer).

3 Post-Doctoral Fellows and 3 Research Assistant positions
The Post-Doctoral fellows and Research Assistants will be employed on a
large research project ”The individual in the group: Social identity and
the dynamics of change”, funded by the Economic and Social Research
Council. The positions are 3-year appointments.

The intended starting date for the appointments is January 1, 2007.
However, one of the Lecturer/Senior lecturer positions will start on August
1, 2007.
